Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 March 2026

1. About the service

DentistAlert (“the Service”) is a monitoring and alert platform that tracks NHS dental practice availability across England. We notify users when practices near their saved locations begin accepting new patients.

The Service is operated by Jake Cussans. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. Not an NHS service

DentistAlert is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Health Service (NHS), NHS England, or any NHS organisation. We use publicly available data from the NHS Service Search API.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of practice data. Always verify directly with the dental practice before attending.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for automated scraping, reselling of data, or any abusive purpose.

4. Subscription plans

The Service offers three tiers:

  • Free (£0/month) — 1 location profile, weekly email digest.
  • Paid (£4.99/month) — 1 location profile, immediate alerts, all notification channels.
  • Family (£8.99/month) — up to 4 location profiles, immediate alerts, all notification channels.

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are given.

5. What we promise

We will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Monitor all NHS dental practices in England at regular intervals.
  • Send timely alerts when we detect availability changes matching your saved locations.
  • Keep the Service available and secure.

6. What we don’t promise

We cannot guarantee that:

  • A practice shown as “accepting patients” will still have capacity when you contact them.
  • You will be registered as a patient as a result of receiving an alert.
  • The NHS data we receive is accurate or up to date — practices self-report their status.
  • The Service will be available 100% of the time. Scheduled or emergency maintenance may cause temporary downtime.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DentistAlert shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit data obtained from the Service.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service.
  • Create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

9. Intellectual property

The DentistAlert name, logo, website design, and original content are our intellectual property. NHS practice data is sourced from the NHS and remains public information.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
